Object oriented collection management
Collection objects are the core of every piece of information and everything is visible when looking at an object: current location, loan status, conservation status, risk assessment, etc. In every moment, but looking at an object, authorised users have at their disposal all of the key and detailed information at a glance: current and permanent location, loan status, latest insured value - as well as contextual data, such as related exhibitions, guided tours, themes and educational activities.
Changes made to any field are recorded in the audit trail and immediately visible with the rest of record information. Qi maintains a full history of all past values, including rejected changes. The audit trail does not cover only objects, but involves every type of content, such as artists and subjects. The audit trail records date and authors and make it easy to track the history of a record and to quickly reverse changes.
Permissions, review and approval
Qi offers a granular and sophisticated model for controlling user permissions. For different types of content, teams may be assigned separate read/write/add/delete/approve and audit rights. All changes need to be approved by users with the appropriate permissions - and all changes are tracked in the audit in any case: it’s all very secure!
